"RELATIONSHIPS: The Image vs The Reality"

Why are MOST of you PRETENDING to live a certain way when YOU KNOW that you aren't.

[DISCLAIMER]

This DOES APPLY to anyone in a marital or non-marital COMMITTED relationship

[END OF DISCLAIMER]

I enjoy looking at PRETENTIOUS couples and then laugh at them later when they START BITCHING ABOUT THEIR MATE or they SIMPLY BREAK UP.

[QUESTIONS]

1. Are the "so-called" traditional relationship behaviors truly REALISTIC?

2. Is there a "so-called" RIGHT WAY to live in a relationship and if so WHO CREATED IT, DID THEY LIVE BY THOSE STANDARDS and HOW DO YOU KNOW THEY DID?

3. If you know what THAT right way is and THAT is what you want and YOUR RELATIONSHIP is not like that, why are you still there?

[MY COMMENT]

I believe that MOST people in relationships ARE NOT being monogamous, responsible or considerate the MAJORITY of the time ACCORDING TO TRADITIONAL STANDARDS.

This tends to make me believe that those TRADITIONAL STANDARDS that are CONSTANTLY discusses WERE NEVER adhered to the MAJORITY of the time in COMMITTED relationships (i.e., marital and non-marital).

[DON'T GIVE ME THE TYPICAL "BULLSHIT" EXCUSE]

Time after time I hear males and females say, "Relationships are difficult and requires a lot of work to keep it together".

[MY RESPONSE TO THAT "BULLSHIT" EXCUSE IS POSTED ON MY BLOG PAGE]

Relationships Aren't Difficult but Living In Denial About YOUR Relationship Certainly Is

(Excerpt from my Post)

"Relationships ARE NOT difficult or hard to maintain. Pretending YOUR relationship is all that you want others to believe is hard to maintain"

Go to my June 28, 2010 posting for the entire post.

[REALITY CHECK FOR THOSE THAT ARE IN DENIAL OR DELUSIONAL]

1. COME OUT OF DENIAL, look at the REALITY of YOUR situation and make a decision to LIVE IN IT or GET OUT OF IT.

2. INFIDELITY and IRRESPONSIBILITY (MOSTLY for younger couples that married too early in life) are just as much a part of MOST relationships as MONOGAMY (once you get to a certain age and maturity level), RESPONSIBILITY and CONSIDERATION.

3. MOST of you are aware of the INFIDELITY (even if you don't know exactly who he/she is)

4. MOST of you know that YOUR MATE places unnecessary EMOTIONAL STRESS on you with his/her INCONSIDERATE attitude and behavior

5. MOST of you know that YOUR MATE places unnecessary FINANCIAL STRESS on you with his/her INCONSIDERATE spending habits

[QUESTIONS YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF AND NO OTHER]

I don't look at the above as being RIGHT or WRONG. I simply look at is a being REAL. You have ask yourself:

- Does it NEGATIVELY impact me physically

- Does it NEGATIVELY impact me mentally

- Does it NEGATIVELY impact me financially

- Is it just that I am MORE CONCERNED about what other people will think of me IF they found out my relationship is NOT AS TRADITIONAL as I PRETEND IT TO BE

[CONCLUSION]

I think that I've said enough to get this class going so now I am opening it up for discussion/comments.

Class is dismissed.

Jai Duval you are evil and a legitimate asshole. Why are you trying to ruin people's relationship with stupid shit like this. Did your mother do something to you? Are you gay and cannot get a woman?

You need serious professional help. I will pray for you.
